New Center will Support Clients in Seven Languages Initially, Create Economies of Scale as Clients Seek Global Technology and Expertise Delivered Consistently
ROSELAND, N.J. and BUCHAREST, ROMANIA – February 24, 2015 – ADP®, a leading global provider of Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions, today announced that it had opened a "center of excellence” in Bucharest, Romania, which will serve as a global delivery center for clients using ADP's human capital management services to create engaged workforces and successful businesses.
The Bucharest center is the latest initiative from ADP to continue to globalize the support and services it provides to clients. Currently, ADP provides Human Capital Management technology and expertise for approximately 610,000 clients in 100 countries. The company has been offering cloud-based technology services for 16 years.
ADP already operates a shared services center in Prague, Czech Republic, and last year expanded its presence in Barcelona, Spain, to support ADP Streamline® service delivered to clients in 100 countries.
The Bucharest center currently houses about 65 employees; that number is expected to rise to as many as 500 by July 2017 given early enthusiasm from ADP clients.
"Our clients have told us they are excited at the prospect of getting a consistent, scalable and valuable service and support experience from our ADP associates in Bucharest,” said Mark Benjamin, president of Global Enterprise Solutions at ADP. "This is a terrific team that will use standardized and automated systems and processes to help our clients optimize HR and payroll operations to build great workforces. The services they are delivering start with implementation and migration, and include full managed services.”
Benjamin was scheduled to be joined by Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta and other government and local business officials at a grand-opening ceremony in Bucharest today.
TC Kong, a seasoned global executive in the information and technology sector who has successfully built and led global delivery centers, said he's excited at the advantages Romania offers ADP for a center of this type. Kong is the ranking ADP executive in Romania and is leading the center's operations.
"Bucharest offers a great talent pool, reliable telecommunications infrastructure and a platform that is fully compliant with European Union data privacy rules,” said Kong. "We know that the only way to meet our stringent quality standards is by hiring and nurturing the best local talent so they can deliver best-in-class client support.”
Specifically, the Bucharest "center of excellence” will support clients using ADP's human capital management solutions. That support will include access to scalable, highly standardized services and support via a single phone number and email. Platform-specific specialists will leverage time-zone differences to be available for clients more frequently than in a dispersed service-center model. ADP will continue to provide quality in compliance and accuracy in HR and payroll processes, for managed and processing services.
While today the center is able to work with clients in seven languages, that number is expected to double to 14 languages in the near future.
